Do you feel you have equal access to public and private transportation services in British Columbia?

Presented by the Disability Foundation in partnership with Lyft ride-sharing and the ConnecTra Society, this online community forum is bringing organizations together to learn from the disability community about barriers to getting around.

Initially highlighted in outreach initiatives conducted by the SCI-Network, accessible transportation has been consistently identified among the top three factors stopping BC from being a fully accessible and inclusive society. With 1 in 5 or 6.2 million Canadians having one or more disabilities, the need for reliable accessible transportation is well founded.

The forum will build on this knowledge base to broaden understanding of needs, generate possible solutions to explore, and ally resources. All this in an open, honest, and inclusive dialogue between a panel of organizational representatives and our beautiful province’s diverse disability community.
