A man is standing in front of a group of people sitting in chairs, giving a presentation.

Join Karen Lai on Monday, September 16th from 12-1 PT for a presentation offering an overview of the development of the Accessibility Strategy for the City of Vancouver. The disability community was at the forefront of the development of this strategy and the multi-year action plan.

Karen Lai works as an Accessibility Planner for the City of Vancouver. Her primary responsibility is to develop a city-wide accessibility plan for the BC Accessible Act. She holds a Master of Arts in Human Kinetics, where she examined social theories behind the social inclusion of people with disabilities. She has experience working alongside individuals with disabilities in recreation, employment, government, and other community involvements.

Please note that this live event will be recorded and streamed to Facebook and YouTube, where it will remain available for our community to enjoy after the session has ended. Closed captioning for this event will be available on these platforms.
