Gambling in BC
December 2 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PT
Join Judy from Gambling Support BC on December 2nd from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM PT, to learn about responsible gambling, how problem gambling affect people’s lives, and the support available for those who are affected. In this event you will be introduced to Gambling Support BC, an organization dedicated to helping individuals who need support with gambling. They offer a wide selection of services, including outreach services, counseling support, and services for indigenous people.
Judy is a social worker who serves as a Gambling Outreach Support worker with Gambling Support BC. She supports individuals with harm reduction arising from gambling, and helps them find resources, tools, and programs for support. Judy is dedicated to supporting individuals in navigating this challenging world. She offers prevention and community engagement services, aiming to help individuals in the community.
Please note, this session will be closed 10 minutes after the start time to prevent disruption. Please be on time, or you can watch the recording on YouTube or Facebook afterwards.

Participation in any of the aforementioned organizations is subject to the observance of the Disability Foundation and affiliated societies’ rules and procedures. Staff, volunteers, and clients are part of a team and expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. This means that physical harm, verbal or written abuse, harassment of any kind, and any bullying behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone found to have committed conduct prohibited by the societies is subject to disciplinary actions as deemed fit by the Executive Director, up to and including removal from the programs.
