Accessible Travel 101 and the Wheelchair Digital Travel Companion

Join Aaron Busch and Josh Werner from Atyzi on July 8th, 12 – 1 PM PT, for a presentation on Accessible Travel and the Wheelchair Digital Travel Companion.

During this session, they will discuss enhancing the travel experiences of wheelchair users. As co-creators of the Wheelchair Travel Companion and experts in accessible travel, Aaron and Josh will share invaluable insights and practical tips on navigating the complexities of traveling with a wheelchair, covering flights, hotels, and cruises.

Speaker Information:

Aaron Busch is an Accessible Travel Specialist based in Vancouver with 20 years of personal experience traveling with a wheelchair and five years of professional expertise in the travel industry. As the founder of Atyzi Solutions and co-creator of the Wheelchair Travel Companion, Aaron is committed to making all aspects of travel safer and more convenient for wheelchair users.

Josh Werner holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and has traveled extensively, despite living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. His adventures across countries like Scotland, South Africa, and Germany, accompanied by his service dog, have equipped him with a wealth of practical knowledge about accessible travel. Josh is also the co-creator of the Wheelchair Travel Companion.

Staff, volunteers, and clients are part of a team and expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. This means that physical harm, verbal or written abuse, harassment of any kind, and any bullying behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone found to have committed conduct prohibited by the societies is subject to disciplinary actions as deemed fit by the Executive Director, up to and including removal from the programs.
