Summary

Transitions happen throughout our lives. Graduation and looking for a job mark key transitions in a person’s life.

The National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) welcomed Elizabeth Mohler, Project Coordinator with Magnet – AliGN, and Lisa Kelly, Programs Manager with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s Discover Ability Network, as part of their ongoing Virtual Access for All webinar series, for their presentation “Transitions to Work for People with a Disability.”

The webinar offers four careers tips that aim to help young adults with disabilities have a smooth transition from school to the workplace:

  • Disclosure & ask for accommodations
  • Navigating workplace norms
  • Being accountable at work
  • Responding to Difficult Situations
