DiscoverParks.ca: Enhancing Accessibility to BC Parks
August 26 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PDT
Join Mariana Luna-Cardona on August 26th, 12 – 1 PM PT, for a presentation about the BC Parks Foundation’s new discoverparks.ca website. Designed to enable visitors to access guided or self-guided activities within a park or at home, the site aims to provide comprehensive information to support greater inclusion and enjoyment of BC’s natural beauty.
Mariana is passionate about fostering connections between individuals and BC’s beautiful outdoors. Growing up in North Vancouver, she developed a deep appreciation for the abundant nature seemingly at her doorstep. But as a new Canadian, many activities felt out of reach. These days she feels privileged to have gained the knowledge she needs to pursue passions, such as climbing, and hopes her work at the Foundation can support, empower and break down barriers for others to do the same.
