BounceBack – Free Mental Health Telephone Coaching
January 13, 2025 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PT
Let’s bounce into the new year with BounceBack! Join us for a presentation on January 13th from 12-1pm to learn about this skill-building program!
BounceBack® is the Canadian Mental Health Association’s flagship program that launched province-wide in 2008. It has been proven to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms by 48-50%. BounceBack® is a free, skill-building mental health program for BC residents aged 13 and over interested in improving their wellbeing. BounceBack® is grounded in evidence-based, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and supports participants to learn strategies and skills to manage stress, worry, inactivity, unhelpful thinking, face fears and mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
Through a series of self-selected workbooks based on CBT, and 1-1 support from a telephone coach, participants learn skills to help manage their mood and cope with life’s challenges. BounceBack® Coaches provide support and encouragement, answer questions and keep participants motivated over 4-6 telephone sessions.
Kate Longpre is the National Manager of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) BounceBack program. She has managed early intervention mental health programs at CMHA since 2019.
Kate has her own lived-experience with disability giving her an intimate understanding of the experience of individuals living with disabilities.
Please note that the session will be closed 10 minutes after the start time to prevent disruption. Please be on time, or you can watch the recording on YouTube or Facebook afterwards.
