SUMMARY:Access Studio’s FUTURES Program
DESCRIPTION:Join us on January 6th from 12-1 pm for a presentation on Access Studio’s new FUTURES program for aspiring leaders. \n\n\n\nThis information session will be hosted by the FUTURES facilitation team\, Jess Watkin (she/they)\, Joey Florence (he/him)\, and Kristina McMullin (she/her)\, and invites attendees to discover FUTURES\, hear alumni stories\, learn about programming activities\, and support the registration process. \n\n\n\nFUTURES is a free three-month program for Disabled\, Neurodivergent\, and equity-deserving youth (18-30) who want to discover who they are and make the change they want to see in the world. In FUTURES\, you will be a part of weekly programming featuring creative workshops\, guest speakers\, facilitated discussions\, mentorship\, game nights\, and good old-fashion hang-outs. FUTURES empowers you to explore your identity\, grow as a leader\, and build lasting connections. Whether you are filing your taxes for the first time\, or want to learn more about how to maximize your tax return\, this workshop will provide insight on how to navigate the process from start to finish. \n\n\n\nJoanne Monteiro holds an MBA in finance and a Diploma in Teaching. She worked in the corporate world before venturing into educational services\, specializing in ESL training\, and is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and financial literacy.
