Virtual Smart Home Tour with Technology for Living
May 31, 2021 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm PDT
Join our friends at Technology for Living (TIL) to learn about all the smart home technologies that can make your life more independent. These environmental control systems assist people with physical disabilities to control devices in their homes and on the go. In this interactive ConnecTogether presentation, we’ll virtually tour Ean’s smart-equipped home and ask questions.
Ean Price has lived in the Okanagan since 1986 and has been a PROP client since 2001. He was also a Technology for Living board member for 6 years. Ean owns and operates a small tech company, with a passion for independence through technology. In his free time, he enjoys traveling overseas and volunteering with local non-profit organizations including the Tetra Society, Neil Squire Society and Muscular Dystrophy Canada. In 2016, he was proudly elected President of Kelowna’s Disabled Sailing Association of BC. Having Spinal Muscular Atrophy II, he has also worked with and developed a wide range of assistive technology. He hopes by collaborating with his peers he can continue to bring innovation to Technology for Living.
Wayne Pogue joined Technology for Living as a Biomedical Engineering Technologist in 2006, shortly after the Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP) and the Technology for Independent Living Program (TIL) joined forces, and he have had the privilege of seeing the 2 programs grow together. After an enjoyable day at the office, heading up the most amazing team of biomedical engineering technologists, there’s nothing better than spending some quality time with my family, playing hockey with the guys, or cheering on the local teams.
