Nordic Racers Ski Club – Skiing is Believing
March 13 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PDT

For more than ten years, Nordic Racers Ski Club has been running Skiing is Believing Days at Whistler Olympic Park, just south of Whistler. This program targets people with a physical disability, helping participants get outside and learn to nordic ski.
During this presentation, you will learn how the program operates. We will show you the kinds of equipment we use for people needing an assistive device to ski. We will introduce you to some of our alumni. Most ski simply for fun. A few have gone on to ski at events such as BC Winter Games, Canada Winter Games, Para-Nordic World Cup and to the International Paralympic Games.
This presentation will be hosted by Phil Mundy, Program Lead for Nordic Racers Ski Club Para Nordic Team. Phil is a Professional Engineer (retired) who has worked in Rehab Engineering for over forty years. Phil and the Nordic Racers Para Nordic team are dedicated to helping people ski, benefiting participants as well as their friends and families who very often come along to enjoy Skiing is Believing events.
Please note that this live event will be recorded and streamed to Facebook and YouTube, where it will remain available for our community to enjoy after the session has ended. Closed captioning for this event will be available on these platforms.
The class will be closed 10 minutes after the start time to prevent class disruption. Please be on time, or you can watch the recording on Facebook or YouTube afterwards.
