BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS)/Indigenous Disability Canada (IDC): An Overview
March 27 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PDT

Do you want to learn about the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society and Indigenous Disability Canada?
Join us in welcoming Paisley Pelletier, who will be sharing an overview of the organization, including their mission and values. Paisley will be outlining each program run at BCANDS and ICD, including RDSP Navigators, Jordan’s Principle Coordinator, Support for Indigenous Student Learning Plan, Persons with Disability, Monthly Nutritional Supplement Adjudication, Accessibility Research, and Disability Case Management.
Paisley Pelletier is the Senior Disability Case Manager and the Program Coordinator for the Indigenous Disability Case Management program at the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS) / Indigenous Disability Canada (IDC). She has been with the organization since October of 2021. Paisley has a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care with a specialization in Indigenous Perspectives from the University of Victoria, and will be starting a Master’s degree from there as well in Community Development in the Summer of 2023.
Paisley’s passion for this work is guided by her lived experience. In addition to her work and education, Paisley is a Métis woman who lives with a disability (Bi-lateral sensorineural hearing loss) and is a mother to 5 wonderful children/step-children (Métis and Métis / Cree); many of whom are neuro- or gender-diverse or who live with their own disabilities.
The class will be closed 10 minutes after the start time to prevent class disruption. Please be on time, or you can watch the recording on Facebook or YouTube afterwards.
